When you think of jazz venues normally you picture dark, smoky places with bad lighting, this space is the complete opposite, with 80% of the space being outside with plenty of sun light. The building belongs to the “Miragaia Musical Association” and Rui Marques and Renato Rodrigues, being members, saw the potential of this space and decided to share it with the rest of Porto.

Their wine menu boasts 30+ wines from all regions, all of which are served by the glass, ranging from 3€-9€. If you wish to share a bottle with someone, there is also that option. To accompany the wine they also serve snacks, I would advise you to try the salmon bites with “Soalheiro” a white Alvarinho, the chèvre bites with “Castelo de Alba Reserva” a white Douro, The Azorean cheese with “Maria Mansa” a red Douro and the “Presunto” cured ham with “Cortes de Cima” a red, Alentejo.

MiraJazz is an informal space in a historical part of the city with great love for wines and an amazing view overlooking the river, ocean and the “Arrábida” Bridge. There is Live Music on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays and they are open every day except for when it rains. It is a great place to go on a Sunday, I would advise you to go early if you want a table since it gets quite crowded. Essentially this wine bar is for you to check out the view, take in the sun, enjoy some live music and wash it down with some great Portuguese wine.
